Everette J. Berryman, age 84 of Chesterton, IN and formerly of Rankin, IL passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 in Michigan City, IN. He was born on December 18, 1932 in Iuka, MS to Katherine (Warhurst) and Edward Jackson Berryman.

He was married to Joyce Lambert. He is survivied by his son, Gene (Jo Anne) Berryman of Plainfield, IL; daughter, Peggy (Robert) Miller of Chesterton; sisters, Mildred Murphy of MS and Eva Janice (Ralph) Moberg of AL; grandchildren, Gene (Katie), Jason (Jen), Linda, Joyce and Aaron (Teara) and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Eddie, daughter Patricia, brother Charles, sister Martha, grandson Pete and love of his life Juanita Bender.

Everette's faith in God was never unshaken.  He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he was active in their gospel band and in the Chestnut St. Church of Chirst band for over 10 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Inland Steel. He loved bluegrass gospel music, was always in high spirits and always had a joke.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 7pm at Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304 with Pastor Ronnie Cox officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednedsday, December 20, 2017 from 5pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Additional services and interment will follow in Iuka, MS. There will be a visitation held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Ludlam Funeral Home- Iuka, MS beginning at 11:00 a.m. until noon. Following visitation will be a Graveside Service in Providence Cemetery - Iuka, MS.
