Aaron Todd Nelson

Aaron Todd Nelson, age 71 passed away Monday, June 21, 2021. He enjoyed square dancing, calling square dancing, water skiing, loved people, telling jokes, and pulling pranks. He was a gun fitter, and gun/trap shoot instructor. Aaron was a loving, giving, loyal son, father, grandfather, friend, and uncle. He is survived by his three daughters, Karon Nelson Murdock (John), Kala Yvette Nelson, and Sarah Beth Nelson; four grandchildren, Emily Higgins, Charles Higgins, Evan Higgins, and Rorie Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lealon and Jewel Dean Nelson; one brother, Jerry Nelson. Visitation will be Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Maud Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Maud, AL beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be following visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Gary Cosby. Burial will be in Maud Burns Cemetery. Pallbearers include Charles Higgins, Evan Higgins, Todd Nelson, Dean Nelson, Brad Robinson, and Adam Nelson. Honorary pallbearers include Dale Hester, Rorie Nelson, Abraham Nelson, Garrett Nelson, Gunner Ford, Luke Nelson, Ralph Waldrep, Roger Waldrep, Kelvin Burns, and Kendrick Burns.
