Auston Leroy Moore

Auston Leroy Moore was born October 4, 1940, in Iuka, MS to the late Roy and Lucy Moore. He was a member of Mt. Evergreen Church in Iuka, MS. Auston Leroy Moore departed this life on January 15, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Shackelford Moore of Iuka, MS; daughter and son-in-law, Selina and Chris Thompson, of Arley, AL; son, Jason Moore of Iuka, MS; four grandchildren, Laura Thompson, of Ocean Springs, MS Mason Thompson, of Auburn, AL, Gavin Moore, of Iuka, MS, and Olivia Hutcheson of Iuka, MS; sister Joyce Borden of Iuka, MS; and brother and sister-in-law Clayton and Alice Moore of Griffin, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lucy Moore; and brother, Gary Moore. Honorary pallbearers include Alan Hutcheson, Johnathan Sanders, Steve Borden, Scott Shackelford, Moony Brewer, Richard Moore, and Larry Riley. Visitation will be held at Ludlam Funeral Home, Iuka, MS beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, with services following. Officiating will be Bro. Michael Lambert.
