In Loving Memory of Barbara Sue Brown Rutherford Born March 26, 1951 whom left this Earth to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 18, 2026 Barbara was a loving mother, sister, wife, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. To her loved ones, she was affectionately known as "Nunu." She was kind, caring, honest, and God-fearing. Barbara enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, arrowhead hunting, music, and fishing. She always had interesting stories about her life experiences and loved sharing Bible stories. She also enjoyed reading and researching within her Bible. Throughout her life, Barbara worked many jobs and held a variety of professions, but her most notable career was in trucking. Alongside her husband, Steve Rutherford, when they hauled explosives for the government for eleven years. She also had a best friend, Vicky Durham, who stood by her side throughout the years. They were truly sisters at heart. Barbara also dearly loved her little dog, "Boo Boo." Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Haymond Brown and Irene Yeatts; her brothers, Richard Andrew Brown and Haymond Estes Brown Jr.; and her half-sisters, Anita Brown, Sheila Brown, and Dawna Spiecher. She was raised by her grandparents, Silas Dobbs and Willie Lee Durham Dobbs, whom she loved dearly and looked forward to seeing again in Heaven. On July 12, 1981, Barbara married Stevie Lamar Rutherford, and shared 45 years of marriage together. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Najeddine (Majid), and her stepdaughter, Andrea Rutherford; her half-brothers, Estes Ray Brown, George Brown, and Billy Brown. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Mandy Parnell Stark (Ben), Sydney Parnell, and Kaiden Najeddine. Her granddaughter, Mandy Stark, also blessed her with two great-grandchildren, Estella and Andrew Stark. She will be remembered for her love, strength, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel, luka, MS beginning at 2:00 p.m. with visitation prior beginning at 1:30 p.m. Bro. John Bray will be officiating.
