Betty "Jo" Broyles Obituary

Betty “Jo” Broyles, 87, of Iuka, MS, passed away on November 14, 2021, at NMMC-Iuka, MS. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, where she served twelve years as a WMU Director. She also was the volunteer coordinator of Helpful Samaritan Food Pantry, where she received the Green Bean Award. She was widely known in her community for the love of her family and hospitality. She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Bill Broyles; four children, Elaine Abel, Mona Broyles, Becky Anglin (Dennis) and Brad Broyles; eight grandchildren; sixteen great- grandchildren; five great- great- grandchildren; sister, Peggy Hannah (Coy). She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Thomas; parents, Luther and Hattie Lindsey. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Ludlam Funeral Home, Iuka, MS beginning at noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Ron Norvell and Bro. David Gregg. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Iuka, MS. Pallbearers include Heith Morgan, Jamy Morgan, Meghan Belue, Casey Anglin, Matt Anglin, Lucinda Anglin, Candace Reeves, and Nikki Martin. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Baptist Children’s Village P.O. Box 27 Clinton, MS 39060 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
