Billy Broyles Obituary

Billy Wayne Broyles, 97 passed away peacefully Friday, January 31, 2025. He was born to George and Lorene Broyles on September 7, 1927, in Wichita Falls, TX. He was a faithful member of New Salem Baptist Church where he served in many capacities specifically as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a veteran and served 26 years in the Army and Air Force.

Bill was well known in his community as an avid carpenter and former employee of Fairless Hardware. He enjoyed serving and working for others. He loved his family and spending time with them. He was known to his family as Daddy Bill. He was married to the love of his life for 70 years. He is survived by his four children; Elaine Morgan, Mona Broyles, Becky Anglin (Dennis) and Brad Broyles; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; sister, Maxine Kirby; brother, Joby David Broyles; bother-in-law, Coy Hannah,  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Broyles; son, Richard Thomas. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 3, 2025, at Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel, Iuka, MS beginning noon with Bro. Ron Norvell and David Gregg officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Iuka, MS. Honorary pallbearers include Mr. Broyles, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
