Coleman Jordan Obituary

Coleman Lee Jordan passed away peacefully at his home on the afternoon of March 26, 2026. He was born on May 11, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Byron Coleman Jordan and Mildred Poole Jordan. Lee spent almost 60 years working as a master welder, fabricator, and mechanic throughout Memphis and Northeast Mississippi. He worked faithfully for Bonds Paving Company for over 20 years, forming lasting relationships and leaving a legacy of hard work and dependability. He was a problem solver and could build or fix pretty much anything. Lee was wonderfully unique, independent, strong-willed, and generous.

Of everything Lee ever built or did, nothing mattered more than surrendering his life to Jesus and having his precious family. He was a devoted husband, a steady father, and a proud grandfather. His love showed up in practical ways, in laughter, in presence, and in the countless things he did behind the scenes to care for those he loved.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Coleman and Mildred as well as his sister-in-law, Shelly, and father-in-law, Jimmy. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 46 years, Cheryl; his children, Jessica Swindol (Tommy) of Nashville, TN, Blake Jordan (Audrey) of Russellville, AR, and Blair Ferguson (Louis) of luka, MS; his seven grandchildren, Anna Claire and Emily Swindol; Calvin, Darcy, and Ellis Jordan; and Lucas and Lucy Kate Ferguson; his mother-in-law, Barbara; his sisters, Reba, Delores (Montana), and Rhonda; his brother-in-law Randy; and a slew of nephews and nieces. Each of them carries forward a piece of his strength, skill, and love.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice Care, especially Holly Manus, for the compassion, care, and guidance shown in Lee's final days. Your kindness brought comfort and peace during a difficult time and it will not be forgotten.

Lee's life was marked by hard work, deep love, and a powerful impact on those around him. He deeply loved the Lord and Lee will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
