Danny Lee Holland

Danny Lee Holland, 73, of Iuka, Mississippi gained his heavenly wings on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Danny was an avid carpenter and worked in the profession for over ten years. He later changed careers and spent over twenty years with the Tishomingo County Electric Power Association. Danny was a founding member of the Coleman Park Volunteer Fire Department and served as the Chief of the Department from 1978 until recently. After his retirement, Danny enjoyed spending time with his friends, spoiling his grandsons Matthew and Jacob as well as fishing and as he called it “piddling” with various carpentry projects.
Danny was a very personal and private man who had a tremendous sense of pride regarding his home and family. He worked extremely hard to make sure his family had what they needed. He was always willing to lend a hand and use his skills to make sure life was a little better for those around him. Danny was a GOD fearing man who trusted in Jesus to guide and protect him and his family. Danny’s caring nature and stubbornness were infectious qualities that made his family and friends love him even more.
Danny is survived by his loving wife Linda, his son Timothy Holland (Teresa) of Long Beach Mississippi, his grandsons Matthew and Jacob, his step brother Donnie Holland (Betty), his step son Junior Cummings (Regina), step daughter Becky Williams (Brian) of Waynesboro, his nephews, Gary Kay (June), Chad Shook of Hattiesburg, Jackie Holland (Barbara) of Corinth, his nieces, Cindy Price, Jamie Kay Waldrep (Jeremy) of Lexington TN, Donna Moore of Michie, TN, Rosanna Wallace of Corinth, MS  and Tamara Barnett (Jeb) of Corinth, MS. 
Danny was preceded in death by his parents Junior and Leola Holland, his first wife (48 years) Laverne Holland, and his Sister June Kay, all of Iuka.
Visitation will be Monday, August 29, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Ludlam Funeral Home.
Services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Ludlam Funeral Home with Brother Jeff Haney and Sheldon Lambert presiding over the ceremonies. Interment will follow at Hubbard Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be:
Matthew Holland, Jacob Holland, Tim Foshee, Chadwick Shook, Jerry Locke and Gary Kay Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Vandiver, Junior Cummings, Ethan Vandiver and Jackie Holland.
