Ian Burger

With profound sadness and broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved, Ian Burger, age 35, who left us far too soon on April 23, 2026, due to a car accident.

Born on October 4, 1990, in Tampa, Florida. He moved to luka for a simpler life to raise his children. He was the cherished husband of Michelle Burger; precious son of Donna Williams Burger; father of Ian, Leah and Skie; beloved brother to Sara Burger Farese (Tony) Winter Garden, FL and Hanna Burger (fiancé Anthony Green) of Tampa, FL; grandmother, Gaye Gamble of Mantachie, MS; grandmother, Petra Garcia of St. Petersburg, FL; surrogate son of Volley Bivins of Iuka, MS; uncle, Roland Burger of Fish Hawk, FL; aunt, Deborah Barton of Sarasota, FL; nieces and nephew, Abby, Cecil, and Ellie Farese of Winter Garden, FL, and McKenzie Green of Tampa, FL; In-laws, Penny and Vic Berrebi of Melbourne Beach, FLand Mike Tanguay of Stafford, VA.

Ian was a beacon of light in our lives, known for his kindness, adventurous spirit and gigantic heart. He lived with a passion for life that touched everyone he met. Whether he was taking care of all of his animals, lending a helping hand to help people, he did so with dedication and heart.

His joy was found in doing anything outside, and fishing. He taught us to have patience, because he sure did not have any. Though his time with us was far too short, his life was full and remarkable.

He was proceeded in death (all of luka) by his great grandparents, Cecil and Lela Gamble; great uncle, Ronnie Gamble; uncle, Danny Aldridge; great aunt, Bennie Gamble Brewer.

Ian's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ, heart, liver, kidney and tissue donation. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
