James Larry Freeman (Larry), 69 of Burnsville, Mississippi, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at his home. He was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church of Counce, TN.
He retired from Kimberly Clark, where he held the position of team leader and met a lot of lifetime friends. He then went onto Hoover Crushstone as the switch house operator, and then later retired from his position as foreman. Larry had a love for traveling and being on the water. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his brother. In his later years, he enjoyed farming, cooking for his family, and being the life of the party. He was fun-loving, honest, hardworking, and had an infectious laughter.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Ludlam Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 6: 2026, beginning at noon with Bro James Newell officiating. Interment will be in Center Hill Community Cemetery, Counce, TN. Pallbearers will include Evan Akers, Robert Brewer, Mike Curtis, Manuel Favila, Emmett Voyles and Lance Heavener.
He is survived by his brother, James Gary Freeman of Burnsville, MS; two nieces, Tina Roberts Gregory of Burnsville, MS and Hayley Akers (Evan) of Burnsville, MS; two great nieces, Victoria Brigley of Tupelo, MS and Madison Gregory of Burnsville, MS as well as many special friends.
He is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Becky Freeman; his parents, James Henry Freeman and Rena Mae Freeman; his grandparents, James Henry Freeman and Ola Mae Freeman and Albert Curtis and Josie Curtis.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
