James Terry “Jimmy” Turner age 78 passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Clay Turner; two daughters, Cheryl (Lee) Jordan, Shelly Turner (Randy) Amsden; one son, Johnny (Ginger) Turner; nine grandchildren, James Long, Jessica (Tommy) Swindol, Mac (Tara) Long, Tyler (Ashleigh) Long, Blake (Audrey) Jordan, Blair (Louis) Ferguson, Devin (Shayla) Ham, Kelsey Turner, Chloe Turner; nine great grandchildren, Caleb Long, Ethan Long, Anna Claire Swindol, Emily Swindol, Temperance Long, Elizabeth Long, Calvin Jordan, Lucas Ferguson, and Lucy Kate Ferguson; four step-children, Karen Campbell, Steve (Teresa) Gallagher, Chuck (Jane) Gallagher, Dawn (Greg) Nutt; six step- grandchildren, Cooper Leggett, Grayson Flemons, Brooklyn Flemons, Cayden Smith, Kylie Smith, and Nathaniel Nutt; four sisters, Mary Bell Dick, Artie (Cleve) Cox, Faye (Chester) Lovelace, and Betty (Jack) Moore; one brother, Jerry (Doris) Turner; and one uncle, J.C. Floyd. A host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Monroe and Dora Floyd Turner; brother, Roshell Turner; and step son-in-law, John Campbell. Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2020 at South Crossroads Baptist Church, Tishomingo, MS beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at South Crossroads Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in South Crossroads Cemetery, Tishomingo, MS. Officiating will be Bro. Jack Whitley, Bro. Blake Jordan, and Bro. Tommy Swindol. Pallbearers will be, James Long, Mac Long, Tyler Long, Devin Ham, Barney Dick, and Keith Lovelace. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rocky Hill Rounders, Gerald Barnes, Michael Massengill, Talmadge South, Tim Massengill, Dustin Lambert, Mark Barnes, and Kyler Smith.
