Janet Southward

Janet Southward, age 70 passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022. She loved her dog Toby, and cat Precious. She enjoyed watching game shows, westerns, and digital coloring. She is survived by her husband, William Southward; brother, Johnathan Slack; sister, Leisa Slack Hall (Kenneth); nieces and nephews; Kevin Lovelace, Regine Aday (Terry), Heath Hall (Morgan), Karissa Fortune (Adam); Daniel Hall (Dawn), Shane Hall (Karen), Jason Mills (Brenda); great nieces and nephews, Ryan Aday, Payton Aday, Ellee- Nicole Aday, Keylen Hall, Wyatt Hall, Lyric Hall, Tucker Hall, Elijah Hall, Khloey Hall, Justin Hall, Emerson Fortune, Kolter Fortune, and Elsie Fortune; numerous other great nieces and nephews; aunts, Glenda Floyd, Betty Webb, and Belinda Webb; uncles, Larry Webb (Brenda) and James Webb; numerous cousins.  She was preceded in death by parents, John Edward “Pete” Slack and Opal Webb Slack; sister, Sherry Robinson. Visitation will be Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Mission Lighthouse Church beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, at Mission Lighthouse Church beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. John Gwatney officiating. Prior to service visitation will be 1:00 until funeral time at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery, Iuka, MS.
