Jewel Dean Nelson passed away peacefully from this world and now resides with our Father in Heaven on Wednesday September 09, 2020. She was a Christian mother, faithful wife, heart of a servant, diligent in duty, and faithful friend. Countless people placed their feet under her table and received the best meals around. Her peas, turnip greens, and banana pudding were truly remarkable and remain a benchmark to which all others are compared. She loved entertaining company, making quilts, and clothes for all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved her family, her church, her Lord, and remained faithful throughout her life. She taught us how to catch a fish, and how to work and be joyful in labor. She also taught us how to live and love. Jewel is survived by her son, Aaron Nelson; five grandchildren, Todd Nelson (Elizabeth), Dean Nelson (Heather), Karon Nelson Murdock (John), Kala Nelson, and Sarah Nelson; twelve great grandchildren, Adam, Abe, Gunner (Brianna), Garrett, Allie, Luke, Aubrie, Colin, Emily, Charles, Evan, and Rorie; one great great grandchild, Freya; many nieces and nephews.
