Joanna Lowery Obituary

Joanna Sharlene Lowery, 75 native of Tishomingo MS, passed away peacefully on 7/1/25, joining her mother Opal Ennis, along with her Brothers Bob, Denver and Jack Ennis, and Sisters Geneva Irwin, Emma Flynn, Barbara Haught, her Son Robert Broad and granddaughter Ashley Broad in their eternal home. Joann, native to Tishomingo for 25 years, was loved and known for her love of caregiving of others, carpentry, gardening, sewing, church and a love for her community but not as much as her family. The entire town would know when all the kids were coming home through the decorations of the house, yard and the smells from her kitchen. " They are all coming home," she would say, so proudly.Joanna's fighting spirit & strength endured during her fight of lung cancer over 4 years. She is survived by a large and loving family which includes her sister Linda Moreno (Daniel), Children Gail Broad (Charles), Bill Broad (Rhonda), Patrina Lowery Portwood (Tim), Chris Broad (Samantha), Lena (Crista) Taylor Colvin (Nicholas). With 10 Grandchildren Haylie, Matthew, Brayden, Kian, Leland, Callie, Holly, Kingston, Nevaeh, Blake and Brittany.A memorial Service Will be held on Saturday 7/19/25 at 11:00 - 12:00 pm at The Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal church for visitation with family and friends and a small service at 12:00 pm with refreshments to follow at 45 Natchez Street. Ludlam Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Joanna Sharlene Lowery.
