L.T. Robinson Obituary

L.T. Robinson of Iuka, MS passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the age of 82. L.T. was born in Booneville, MS on July 1, 1938 to Monroe and Esther Robinson. L.T. led a colorful life and was never content to sit still. L.T. loved to ride motorcycles and take road trips. Over the years, L.T. and his wife Sandra traveled to nearly every state and also visited Canada and Mexico. L.T. is remembered for his humor and assertive nature and loved to introduce himself as, “T-Bone’s the name and cars are my game.” L.T. ran a car lot for many years in Iuka and continued to wheel and deal in used cars until his death. Music was another love of L.T.’s and many will remember his skills on the piano.

In his final years, L.T. loved to call and talk to his children and grandchildren. The conversation could not end with a normal goodbye, but with his infamous words, “See ya on down the road.” L.T. is survived by his wife Sandra, four children Mitzi Southward (Jim), Mike Robinson (Andrea), Michelle Davis (Luther), and Christy Perkins (Steven). He was also survived by thirteen  grandchildren Laine Dalrymple (Clint), Lindsey Southward, Kirby Davis (Kelsey), Jade Martin (Matt), Joseph Perkins (Livia), Hunter Robinson (Emily), Kooper Davis, Jordan Waffird, Bree Robinson, Jacob Waffird, Joshua Waffird, Konnor Davis, Katie Jo Davis and one great-grandchild (Jailyn).
