Mary Lou Murphy

Mary Lou “Bolton” Murphy, age 77 passed away Monday, August 30, 2021. She was a member of Airport Mission Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Chuck Murphy (Lisha), and Donny Murphy (Melissa); grandchildren, Shawn Murphy, Ethan Murphy, Hunter Hicks, Areye Murphy, Levi Murphy, Morgan Benefied, Samantha Carithers, Aylissa Jackson, and Maribeth Murphy; six great grandchildren; four sisters, Linda Johnson (Johnny), Carolyn Peterson (Ray), Diane Gordon (Jerry), and Nancy Watson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Murphy; one son, William Robert “Robby” Murphy; parents, William Robert and Jetty Pearl Bolton. Visitation will be Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Asphalt Rock Baptist Church, Cherokee, AL beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Following visitation funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Franky Smith officiating. Burial will be in Asphalt Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Gordon, Ray Peterson, Freddy Watson, Michael Gordon, John Gordon, and Ethan Murphy.
