Obituary
Peggy Laverne Stanford South, age 77, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023. She was a faithful and strong-willed woman, enjoyed bowling, watching westerns, loved her family, and loved her sweet dog, Miss Lily. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Shoffner Kettler (Terry); two brothers, Larry Stanford (Lynn) and Denny Stanford; grandchildren, Ashley Brown (Devin), Jared Kettler, Brianna Rickman (Alex), and Brooke Devlin (Dylan); fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.C. (Dub) Stanford and Ruby Howard Stanford; husband, Kenneth South; son, Ralph Shoffner; daughter, Sonya Shoffner Morphis. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. John Bray and Bro. Chuck Clark officiating. Visitation will be prior to funeral service beginning at noon. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Iuka, MS, with no graveside services. Pallbearers include Chuck Dean, Nim Wilson, Chris Shoffner, Keith Miller, Chuck Clark, and Jeremy Barton. Ludlam Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Peggy Laverne Stanford.
