It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Percy Lee Sanders, who left this world on May 16th to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born May 4th, 1961, to the late Edmond Ellsworth and Kathryne Sanders.
He was a devoted husband, proud father, grandfather, and loyal friend to many. Born with a deep love for the outdoors, Percy found joy in the simple pleasures of life; hunting in the quiet woods, camping on the waterway and tending to his garden.
A man of integrity and strength, Percy was known for having a tireless work ethic. He took pride in providing for his family. He led by example, teaching those around him the importance of honesty and service.
Percy was preceded in death by his parents.
Percy survived by his wife of 29 years, Brenda Sanders; children, Katie Crum (Casey), Deana Sanders (Roby Hopkins), Ricky Simmons (Kayla), and David Peek (Regina); grandkids, Justin, Jake, Kaylynn, and Chloe; and sisters, Rita Clinard (Paul), Diana Speece (Virgil) and Mary Jane Sanders.
