Robert "Bobby" Lambert Obituary

Robert “Bobby” James Lambert, 76, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. There will be a private service with Ludlam Funeral Home assisting the family. Burial will be in Rutledge Salem Cemetery, Iuka, MS. Officiating will be Bro. James Rich.

Bobby was born November 14, 1943 in Burnsville, Mississippi to Bill Monroe Lambert and Eunice Marlar Lambert.  After serving in the National Guard he owned several businesses and enjoyed a long career in construction and industrial waste management. He enjoyed work tremendously and only retired a few years prior to his passing.  Bobby enjoyed spending time with his large family, playing with his dogs, was an avid watcher of westerns and professional boxing, and was an accomplished machinery operator. He also loved tinkering with vintage tractors, exceled at yard work and held extensive knowledge of vegetable gardening. A skilled storyteller, he had a joke for almost every occasion and touched many lives. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Iuka.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of thirteen years, Ellie, three sons, Tim (Melissa), Taylor, and Matthew Lambert (Christopher), two daughters gained by marriage Kathy Ross (Tony) and Sandra Davis.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Leah Lambert, Savannah Lambert, and Andrew Lambert, Niesha Carpenter (Bubba), Tina Westbrook (Bryan), Greg Ross (Jana),  Rayanna Davis, and Charlie Lambert, as well as eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his brother Kerry Lambert (Linda).

He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Eunice, brothers Charles and John, sister Yvonne, and one son Robby.
