Timothy Gerald Walker, age 75, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at The State Veterans Home in Oxford, MS. As a beloved member of the community, Tim was known for his laid-back, easy-going nature and the genuine kindness he extended to everyone he met. Tim retired from North Mississippi Medical Center–Iuka, where he served as Director of Facility Operations. His dedication, steady leadership, and calm demeanor made him a respected figure among colleagues and staff alike. Even in retirement, Tim’s strong work ethic and generous spirit never waned—he became the go-to handyman for friends, neighbors, and anyone who needed a helping hand. Whether it was fixing a leaky faucet or mending a broken fence, Tim was always just a phone call away. He had a gift for making others feel comfortable, welcomed, and appreciated. His quiet strength and warm smile left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Tim didn’t seek the spotlight, but his actions spoke volumes—earning him the friendship and admiration of many. He leaves behind a legacy of service, humility, and compassion. Tim will be deeply missed by his family, friends, former coworkers, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched. He is survived by his children, Michael Walker, Kevan Walker (Misty), Tabitha King, Shelenia Borden (Chris); grandchildren, Seth Walker (Jordan), Hunter Walker, Greylee Guthrie, Mallie Walker, Jack Walker, Zack Strangfeld, Nicholas Strangfeld, Ariel Stewart, Perry Stewart (Katelynn), Tessa Stewart, McKayla Borden, Sydney Borden, and Mallory Borden; one great grandson, Jacob Stewart; a brother, Benji Walker (Dorothy); an uncle, Garvin Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Caston Walker; mother, Billie Lambert Walker; father, Gerald Cleveland Walker; and a sister, Sandra Walker. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Ludlam Funeral Home beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel with Lance Foster officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery, Iuka, MS. The family wishes to thank the staff of Southern Magnolia and The Veterans Home of Oxford, MS, as well as Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful care provided.
