William Thomas Johnson

William Thomas "Tom" Johnson, 56, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at his home in Iuka, MS. He was a lifelong carpenter of 42 years who touched many lives through his wonderful work and exceptional friendship. He leaves a lasting legacy behind in the homes of many, built board by board, one nail at a time. He enjoyed collecting, fishing, hunting, hiking, engaging in all things outdoors, and held a strong interest in the local history of Iuka, MS. Visitation and funeral services are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Mission Lighthouse Church, officiated by Brian Gwatney. Interment will follow at Snowdown Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jimmy Arnold, Josh Clark, Joe Simpson, Jamie Borden, Aaron Johnson, and Brayden Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Timmy Largent, Jimmy Black, and Mike Parsons. Ludlam Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his loving fiancé Tammy Baskins; his sons, William Johnson (Randi) and Wesley Johnson; his stepdaughter Brittany Baskins; his mother Lola Diane Johnson; his sisters, Julie Jones (Jesse) and Melannie Savell (John); his brother, Jonathan Johnson (Melissa); his step-grandchildren Edenn Hill, Elias Jackson, and Emsley Jackson; and his nieces and nephews, Jacey Clayton (Brody), Jamie Borden, Aaron Johnson (Erica), Brayden Johnson (Nikki), Emilee Johnson, Annaclaire Burnett, Patience Savell, and Ivy Savell. He is preceded in death by his father William Terry Johnson; his sister-in-law Alicia Johnson; his grandparents Will Mose and Patty Lou Johnson, and Ruby and Sterling Lomenick; and several aunts and uncles.
